Our photographer allows you to schedule your E Photos only 2 weeks prior to when you want to take them. So i cheated and she let me get away with 2 1/2 weeks prior to get the date that we wanted considering my Fiance is a teacher and I work running an office, it's a bit difficult for us to get time off during the week. She sent out a mass email last wed or thurs to all her clients stating she would be in the area for e-photos and that they should set them up for tues or wed.

We were supposed to have our EPHotos taken today at 4:30. However it's about 40degrees and raining. :-(

So we had tried to reschedule a few days ago knowing that it would be raining today and our photographer had stated that she doesn't trust the weather until 24 hours prior to the shoot. Which I understand. In MN anything could happen.

So here we sit. The only warm nice days that we could take them would be wednesday or Thursday which we tried to reschedule for as soon as we found out about the rain coming. Now the soonest she can get us in is Friday in 40 degree weather.  Now what?! I need to change my whole outift i decided to wear!!! I wish she could just fit us in tomorrow when it's 60 BLAH.

Thanks for listening Bees, I think i just needed to vent!!!

I agree that rainy weather shots would be adorable!  Do you have or can you purchase cute boots or a rain coat and umbrella?  It might help you get a little less freaked, also, if it ends up rainy on your wedding day -- you'll know how to cope with the rain and be confident that awesome pics can still result!

Living in South Dakota, I totally get what you mean about the weather.  There is a bright side though, the colder weather will create some great photo ops of you are your man snuggling up together!

I agree that rainboots and umbrella shots will be adorable.  I am sure your photographer will have some cute ideas to make the rain work.  Good luck!

Rainboots would be cute! Also, maybe some cute mugs of cocoa? Email your photographer and ask what she thinks would be good "props." If she's kind of weird about scheduling, I'm sure she's shot in this weather before.

i thought photographers loved taking pics in less than bright sunny weather because it made better pics.... maybe just me but im thinking of all the possible romatic pics you could take with chilly weather - more atmospheric ect

have fun... im sure it will be a blast and you will get some great pics

My fiance used to do wedding photography, and his first reaction after finding out that it was supposed to rain during our friends' reception was "They'll end up having AWESOME pictures." A cloudy day will give you a fantastic background - call your photographer and get advice for props to bring, what to wear, etc! I bet your pics will turn out great!

I've seen a lot of awesome pics on photography websites when the weather is "crappy".

I've heard the photographers say "embrace the weather, whatever it may be" . Kinda hard to do when you hoped on having a nice sunny day out. But I agree with everyone else, you may find you get AWESOME pics with the rain/clouds.

Good luck and hope they turn out perfectly :)
