If you have a little saying that you say to eachother... that is really short, you can put that in your rings.
My FI and I will send JT'A to eachother via text and notes... It is short for I Love You in our language.
FI wants to get "F**k You" engraved in his so that the coroner one days feels horror after he peels it off his finger, and then struggles with the internal debate of whether he should tell me that our entire marriage was a sham.
That kidder, him. ;P Sorry, this probably won't be of help.
I'm engraving a short Bible scripture into my FI's..."I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine"...it's from the Songs of Solomon. It seems long but I was told it would fit, I sure hope so!! Ha my FI said he's engraving a silly nickname into mine, we'll see I guess. Both of yalls intitials would be sweet, I love you, I do...think about things that mean something to you.
Mine says: always and forever (those were the last words of his vows that he wrote for me)
His says: I love you more (we always say "I love you more" No, I love you more" etc.) Corny I know but I love it!
I've been thinking about this a lot lately because I don't know what to engrave into my FI's ring either. I thought about "always and always" which is a repeated, meaningful line from one of my favorite books or (cheesy) "I see you" from Avatar because I really like it for some reason. Fortunately, I still have time to think about it. :P
I like to read this page at e-weddingbands, which lists all sorts of great engravings. :)
@veganglam: LOL!!! I told my FI that I would get those safety spikes in his, so that it goes on okay, but it will be impossible to take off!! Sucker!!

You guys are lucky to have so much room; my wedding band is itty bitty to fit my teeny tiny fingers, so it was pushing it to even put his initials, my initials and our wedding date in there. FMIL is our jewelry source, as she works in a jewelry store, and I think she had to take the ring to a special artist they work with nearby to get it done. I feel a little bit like I have one of those grains of rice with my name written on it, like you can get the street vendors to do in some cities (you practically need a magnifying glass to read it). :)

We're going to switch rings and surprise eachother with engraved messages. I think my fiance might put "J'dore Audrey" because that's how he told me he loved me because he thought I didn't understand French. I kind of want to engrave "my Foofie," ha ha because that's what I call him sometimes. I'll probably pick something more serious though. :)
Think of little things you say to eachother and make it special!
We got Posey Rings - so the outside of our rings say "Anam Cara" which means Soul Friend.
My ring is engraved "All my trust"
his is Engraved "All my tomorrows"
They are one of the lines in the vows of the ceremony we wrote "I give you all of my trust and all of my tomorrows"

I'm still in the process of searching/brainstorming ideas, but I saw what my mom wrote in my step-dad's. I loved it.

i am looking for creative ideas for what to engrave in our wedding bands. i think we will just do our wedding date, but does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?
