Hey everyone!!  I need some help with an idea I have.  We have around 15 kids under the age of 10 attending our wedding and we wanted to put together a little entertainment package for each of them.  Nothing much just a goodie bag type with crayons and colouring books and other little knick knacks.  Have any of you done this before or have been to a wedding where this was done?  Also is there a good website to buy things like this in bulk so we can save money?  We are thinking of just going to the dollar store but I want options.  Thanks!

    Hi!
I think that is a great idea! I thought briefly of doing this but the only ones that young are our niece and nephews (they will be 6 and 3) and I know they will be on the dance floor getting boogey with it! Entertainment packages for young guests : wedding reception vancouver guests etiquette favors ceremony parties Icon Razz All of our niece and nephews (5 total!) will be our flower girls and ringbearers so in their gift bag we will be putting some items in there that they can use after and during the wedding. One idea right now is one of those Fisher Price digital cameras; the LOVE taking pictures so they'll get a kick out of being mini-photographers.

There is a huge chain of dollar store called Dollar Tree, they always have really great coloring, math, reading books, and crayons, markers, etc. And they are nice stuff! Like Disney characters. They are actually 1 dollar! www.dollartree.com I believe they ship too and their is a bulk site also.

    Good Luck!

Try going to OrientalTrading too. They sell tons of stuff for kids in bulk and their pricing is great! Plus they'll have some great craft ideas as well that will be simple for kids to work on during the reception (if they're not all out on the dance floor showing up the adults!...my two flower girls never got off the dance floor!).

All good places for cheap kids stuff!

I love the idea that a few of the Bees have used of making a wedding coloring book with free wedding graphics online (just print them into sheets or a little booklet) with a set of crayon or colored pencils!  Just google free wedding clip art or coloring book and you can find lots of images to use!

Also, check out the dollar spot at Target!

How about giving them crayons in a metal paint can and putting white butcher paper at their place settings?  (Just like those restaurants that encourage you to draw on their paper table cloths!)

This site really helped me put together a wedding coloring book.  http://weddings.shanbritedesigns.com/templates.htm  Mine turned out to be 9 pages and should work well for the wide range of ages of children we have coming.  Email me if you want me to email you the one I did lg8036@yahoo.com. I'm sure you'll find stuff at dollar store too like suggested above.  We were thinking of getting those little water games from oriental trading also.  Good Luck!

My future sister in law made really cool gift bags for her wedding.  They were PACKED full of stuff!  Glow bracelets, coloring book, crayons, pencil, erasers, candy, ruler with stencils, little toys from the party favor aisle.  The kids LOVED it!

I think you should do it!  We did this for our little guests.  We had 13 from 3 to 10 and 8 2 and younger.  We got cheap toys from Oriental Trading Company and the 99 cent store.  It was so fun to look out at the ballroom during dinner and seeing all the kids playing!  Two of our friends - one set was my friend and the other DH's friend - actually left the wedding with play dates for their daughters!!  It was great :)
