Is it a personal preference of yours to have the envelope liner the exact size of the envelop?
I ran into a similar problem and almost ran out of paper to line my envelopes. I just decided that I didn't care if the liner reached the bottom of the envelope as long as the visible part of the inside was lined. I ended up with some liners that covered the flap and went about halfway down into the envelope. If you went this route, you could get 2 liners per sheet of 12 x 12.
Elle: I did that for a sample earlier and maybe I am just too picky but it didn't turn out as per what I wanted. But I suspect I will end up doing that so that I can get 2 liners per sheet (and to save money)! Thanks for sharing!! :)

Hi fellow bees!
I am DIY-ing my invites. Due to my lack of foresight, I purchased a whole bunch of envelopes measuring 196cm X 140cm and have prepared wedding invites of that size. There was no problem with that arrangement until it came down to the envelope liners. -gulp- I was intending to buy vintage floral patterned craft paper of 12 X 12 to use as envelope liners but because of the huge envelope, each 12 X 12 piece of paper can only be used for 1 envelope (I tried to squeeze 2 envelopes per 12 X 12 - but I end up with 1 good envelope liner and 1 envelope liner (made up of 2 pieces of paper pieced together by scotchtape)). Cost is an issue because I am making about 300 liners and well, even at $0.50 per piece (best price I can find online for patterned paper), it comes up to $150 for envelopes alone.
Enter this print I saw - http://cgi.ebay.com/Jenni-Bowlin-Tangerine-Dream-Bookprint_W0QQitemZ310036429354QQihZ021QQcategoryZ11791QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
I was thinking of making my own liners with a laser printer, using the Velveteen Rabbit reading as an excerpt (At the end of the famous excerpt, I will insert the words "Excerpt from The Velveteen Rabbit by Margary Williams" to ensure there is no issue of plagarism) so that it will look like the print from the ebay store. This is definitely a money saver method :)
My concern is that it will make the overall feel of my invites too wordy and boring. (My gocco-edinvites will consist of a cream-lightyellow envelope, the main invite in english, the second invite in chinese and a rsvp card, tied together with a pink ribbon).
Any thoughts or comments on this idea? Thanks in advance!! :)
