I made envelope liners and inserted them, but it really wasn't necessary. None of my guests even commented on them. So, if I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't have bothered.
I always open my mail with an opener as well, or if I'm in the car or something I tear a small line on the end of the envelope... so I wouldn't necessarily see it.
If it's a super ton of work, I'd let it go.
I considered doing them in my sqare invites, but the weight of the liner was just enough to push me into then next stamp price and I didn't want to spend more if I didn't have to.
Good luck!
Very few people do envelope liners, I didn't. If I had them, I would use them, but if they are really stressing you out then don't bother.
I would notice and think its really cute but I supposed most people wouldn't. Only 2 or 3 person mentioned my awesomely cute vintage stamps which kind of made me sad. If they're already cut, you might as well put them in, I think!
as much as I like the look of envelope liners, I think they're only worthwhile if you have an inner envelope that's lined & won't be sealed. Once they're closed, it makes no difference. so I'm not bothering.

I did liners and I love them. Even if other people dont notice, I will still be glad I did them. I think I may have done then for my benefit only:D
If its turning out to be too much work and hassel then I say skip them.
Thanks everyone for your opinions! Much to my dismay, I've decided not to go with my liners. I love them (and maybe I'll use them periodically when I mail things) but I think in the end it is just too time consuming.
The first ones I did I glued them in, then after they dried figured out where I missed the glue etc...too much work!

Hey Bees,
I started assembling my invites yesterday all ready with my DIY envelope liners belly bands and all! I realized after only getting 20 done yesterday that WOW this is alot of work. So Here's my dliemma. I have all of the envelope liners cut and ready to go, but I these are the most time consuming part of stuffing! Plus I was just thinking I always open my mail with an opener and wouldn't notice the liner. I almost think that the liner might just fall out if my glue fails...
What do you all think?? What did you do??
