Hello! I have just finished our STD’s and was wondering if anyone has every heard of lining the envelopes for small (a bit smaller than postcard size) STD’s? If so, could you please help me through the process? I am not a creative bride-to-bee and am a bit exhausted just thinking about taking on this (small) task. We bought cheap STD’s, just simple post card size on card stock looking things in ivory with a little brown design on the side. We’re just looking to spice them up a little bit. Any help is appreciated! Thanks Bees!

I don’t know that I have seen envelope liners on STDs. Unless you are really wanting to do them, I wouldn’t think they are necessary.
I have seen several posts about making envelope liners. I think you really just need to open up one of the envelopes and make a template for how big the liner should be. Cut a bunch out of whatever fun paper you decide on. Then use some form of adhesive to make them stay put. I am not creative either, but it shouldn’t be that difficult.

I agree with lampshade–take one of your envelopes apart to make a template.
I was going to do them for mine (bought paper & everything . . . Hallmark had some “self-adhesive” wrapping paper). But, when I got my envelopes, the flaps were too small, so you wouldn’t see the lining. I just skipped it and hand addressed all the envelopes.

If you want to do it, go for it, but don’t feel like you have to. I’m not the super creative type, either, and our postcards (no envelopes, even!) were a hit. Hand addressing in front of the tv one night didn’t take me too long and I think that gives it a nice touch.
