Yay sparkles! I think that the black will show up on the gold paper… but it might be difficult to read. I would consider using a cream font instead. I also like the ink stamp.

Not going to be easy to read is the only thing I’d say…

do a test. metallic paper sometimes doesn’t take ink very well. i had that issue with envelopes for a friend’s wedding. she ordered red metallic envelopes, and the ink pooled and smudged.

FutureMrsKHBD:  If you don’t like labels in general, I doubt you’d like the clear ones much better.  You still see it, and I actually imagine you would see it MORE on a metallic paper.

I would really see if you can order FULL page samples instead of swatches so you can try different printing methods for the return address if you have that available to you– stamp, computer printer, and maybe consider professional printer.

I think you could SEE the black on the gold fine, if you can get it to print well and stay well, but it depends on the texture and printerfriendlyness of your actual paper.

I would also consider ordering gold samples from a couple different places to get one that will print well for you– you can keep your color scheme and just order that piece from someone else if you need to.

FutureMrsKHBD:  Yeah! I used both Cards and pockets and “papers and more”. Had great luck with both of them. Papers and more has a great assortment of colors textures and sizes and they do samples for reasonable prices. I was really happy with them. 🙂

Do you have your actual invitation design yet or is that after the paper colors? Looks like it would be fun based on your pretty sparkly colors. 🙂

FutureMrsKHBD:  Your colors are almost identical to a friend of mine! That would be VERY hard to read on either of the colors other than beige and some post offices can be jerks about it. We printed the addresses right on the envelopes and they turned out amazing! My friend did that too!

FutureMrsKHBD:  I think black ink would print fine on any of those.  You’d just have to let it dry if it’s inkjet.  FYI, vellum smears much more than the cardstock would.  I printed on vellum but had to let them dry for a while.

Also, I ordered paper from that same source (recognize the samples) and I couldn’t get the cardstock to go through my printer.  I forget what weight it was, but it was too thick.  If you’re going with text weight paper you should be fine.

FutureMrsKHBD:  FH did them at work on a xeorox, but our friends used their home printer. Don’t spend too much time/money on envelopes though, no one keeps them!
