I ordered the Enzoani Blue Casablanca dress and it is gooorgeous. I'm still waiting for it to come in. The only thing about it I was worried about was that I wasn't sure if a belt will go with it. I can't seem to find many pictures with this dress and a belt. Anyone have any to share?

Here is a photo of my dress (granted it's 4 sizes too big in this photo) and I'm thinking of a belt similar to the one in the image below (and wearing it in the same spot). I can only seem to find photos with larger belts, or coloured belts, often above the natural waist so I can't tell if it's a good or bad idea.

    Thoughts/advice/photos are welcome :)

    Thank you!!

No belt (: I think the design flows well without a belt.

Thanks! I'm worried it might be a little.. I don't know. Plain? I'm also thinking of going birdcage over veil and really jumping on that ol' vintage bandwagon.

I actually think no belt. And that's new for me! I'm usually always up for a blingy belt. Your dress has really beautiful detailing right where a belt would go, so I would hate to see that covered up. You can always wear a really blinged out/statement necklace to add some more detail without taking away from the dress.

Thanks! I haven't quite decided on a necklace but I'm thinking something with several strandes of pearls and maybe something sparkly.

Advice is really appreciated - thanks guys! It's nice to get a second (and third, fourth, fifth, etc..) opinion :)

Although I think that's a dress with which you COULD wear a blingy belt, I think it looks gorgeous without one. That is a really beautiful dress!

Thank you! I love it. I felt so statuesque the moment I put it on.. :) I'm so excited/terrified to have it come in in my size. I nearly had a conniption when she told me she was ordering it 4 sizes smaller!!!

No belt! I almost bought this dress, it's amazing. The rouching is so beautiful that you do not need a belt it will just distract I think!

How long did it take for your dress to arrive? I ordered OLVA in October and I'm still waiting. Frown

@sanjessica:  I also purchased the Enzoani Casablanca dress and I'm having the same debate while I wait for it to arrive. It's hard to match a belt without physically having the dress! Out of curiousity, did you decide to wear it with a belt? If so, could you please post a picture? Thanks so much and the dress looks beautiful on you either way.

    No Belt!!!

I'm actually selling my Casablanca and think that the all-lace works the best on it's own!!

@BeeG35:  Here are a few pics of me in the Casablanca. The second and third pics feature a belt that I couldn't order in time so I was looking at a more voluminous belt seen in my fourth picture. I'm worried that it may compete with the dress or add to my waistline.

I'm also debating to scrap the belt and do a flower headband and/or a simple veil as seen in picture 5. Thoughts?

No belt. I think it's beautful and detailed enough on its own :)

@carlymalino:   well crap I was going to say right away no belt but those pics of u in the dress with the flower actually looks very nice! I still think the gown is 100% breathtaking on its own, so really either way u can't go wrong. I think u make this dress look very very lovely! Thanks for the pics. :)

l have been contemplating a statement necklace for mine.  personally I wouldn't lean towards a headband but I do plan to do a fingertip lace trimmed veil. But really no matter what u accessorize it will look unbelievable.

First thought was no belt as it does look fab on its own. But........ That flower belt actually is actually really nice! :)

@sanjessica:  The dress is absolutely beautiful on you. It was one of the dresses I tried on, and let me just say it looks a million times better on you than it did on me! I think either wearing the dress as-is (I absolutely love how it gathers to one side) or wearing a floral belt would look really nice! I don't think I'd like just a blingy belt. It kind of cuts off the dress. A floral belt, on the other hand, would probably tie everything together nicely! :)

@carlymalino:  I say either go with just the dress as-is, or wear a floral belt! I actually really love the dress just the way it is! BTW, where did you find that floral belt in your fourth picture? i'm looking for a floral belt myself.

No belt! If you really want to wear one, maybe no belt at the ceremony and belt at the reception? Then it would feel like a whole new dress!

@carlymalino:  the dress ISPISP super tight right now so it still needs to be altered. Once that's done I'll try it out and let you know. Hope you can wait a little while :)

Thanks for the advice everybody - and those pictures are stunning!! :)
