So, I was a little naughty last night – while I was supposed to be Christmas shopping, I stopped at the bridal salon to check on which new Enzoani dresses they got in. It was super slow, so they let me try on a few!
One of the dresses was the Blue by Enzoani Fiji. I’d seen the picture online and didn’t think much of it – the giant flower really bugged me. But I liked the skirt in the back.
Well, it turns out that the skirt is detachable! The dress is actually a lovely mermaid/trumpet shape. The sleeves are also detachable.
Forgot to take pictures with the overskirt (stupid me!). And I still hate the flower. It’s attached to the belt of the dress – maybe they can make it smaller? Anyways, what do you bees think? Possible contender?

That looks great on you !

I think overskirts are so, so fun. My SIL did it for her wedding (a MLullier gown) and took off the overskirt for the reception after the first dance. I do agree that the big flower is a little much, I’d see if it can be removed altogether or you can get a different belt.

@NalaBee: That’s so cool! Yes, it definitely should be a contender!

That’s beaufitul, and the best part is you can’t even tell! I find a lot of the detachables are so easy to spot, but those are mostly the ones that become cocktail lenght dresses.

Omg gorgeous!! I’m also an Enzoani bride and I just loved how comfortable and flattering they are on. You look spectacular – love that there’s so many looks with one dress!

Thanks everyone! I love the idea of being able to change my look up from ceremony to reception, without buying 2 dresses! But that damn flower…it’s the size of a dinner plate. It’s attached to the belt of the skirt, with rhinestones in the center – not sure if it can be removed without messing up the skirt.

I totally LOVE the under-dress!! I’m not as fond of the over-skirt.

Beautiful! The Fiji is my dress too! i opted to not have the overlay skirt and saved a bunch of money that way, and will be detaching the cap sleeves too, but with or without- it’s a gorge dress! And BTW, you look stunning!! I included my pictures of the Fiji 🙂

So pretty-awesome without the skirt!

How fun! Definitely try and remove the giant flower, it’s overkill! I love the idea of the full skirt and sleeves for the ceremony, and the strapless mermaid for the reception. So different!
