@AndysCraftsNmore:  I think the blue shirt is more flattering but im not a fan of the jacket or the scarf in the first set of photos of you. I definitely think the boots in the second set of photos are a bit bulky for this kind of shoot. So maybe with some black boots like in your stock photos you posted with the blue shirt and black pants? I think you are on the right track, just needs some tweaking 🙂

Well I’m loving the boots but I think you’ve got to get some sort of contrast between light and dark in your outfit. Too much dark blue and black will just meld together in the photographs. So what about a lighter denim shirt, say? The scarf is a bit overwhelming but you could wear it slightly differently so there’s not so much hanging down.

I don’t think the boots work for Ephotos. They are cute for every day wear but look too casual/bulky/industrial for engament photos.. no matter how relaxed. I bet the blue sweater you have would be cute with other shoes plus jewelry (maybe a chunky, light/bright color or sparkly necklace).

I much prefer the blue shirt with jeans. Personally, I love the boots but then I probably have the national collection of Doctor Martens in my wardrobe. However, also I think you should look like you in your engagement pictures so I don’t believe there’s a “suitable” or “unsuitable” choice of the type of footwear based on this occasion. Sure, some girls will look lovely in formal, girly sort of clothes and shoes but if that isn’t you, don’t compromise or your pictures will just reflect someone who looks desperately awkward. And that’s a far worse look than industrial boots!

If you cruised around the internet looking at clothes, what would you pick as your favorite outfit? Maybe you can use that as a starting point and see what you have in your closet that might give the same look. I like the leather jacket you have, maybe you can work something around that?

@AndysCraftsNmore:  I like the jeans, big sweater/shirt with the patterened scarf. The jacket is too bulky and cuts you at a weird spot, making you look too bulky. I personally am not a fan of the boots. The laces just look off. I think either black flats or sleeker boots would look nice.

But ultimately, you want to feel comfortable, so keep that in mind! Wear something that is true to your style

The boots draw too much focus. They were literally the first thing i looked at and I think they look really out of place with your outfits.

I think you should keep working on it. Maybe a sweater with a belt, or a cute trench? I think you need something to nip you in at the middle.
