I hope this wasn’t real. It’s really sad 🙁

@Cummins59:  I’ve seen quite a lot of videos where the guy does this big spectacular public proposal and the girl says no.

Honestly, I feel like it’s kind of a dick-move to propose to  girl unexpectedly (if you guys haven’t talked about it) in public with a big dramatic gesture. I don’t think that’s fair because the girl is basically forced to say yes and you don’t corner someone into making a big decision like that if you respect their feelings. As Abed from community would say ‘it’s taking something private and turning it into a performance’.

That looks totally staged..lol.  who hits someone over the head with an instrument?

I hope it was staged. But at the same time, proposing to someone 3 months after you meet them, in a super public way like that? I’m not against quick proposals (my parents have been married for 37 years and my dad proposed to my mom the second time they met, on their first official date so it clearly works…) but you don’t do it in public like that! It’s just a recipe for disaster if she says no! At worst for my parents, my mom and dad would have never seen each other again… But when you do it in public and the guy won’t stop even though you’re going to say no?

@FutureMrsJohnston:  Your comment reminded me of this…and now I can’t stop giggling.

It looks staged, too.

@FutureMrsJohnston:

@futuremrsk18:

Someone in the comments said it may have been an advert for Cadbury Bourneville (see the train going by in the middle of it – read what it says). If so, very creative on Cadbury’s part.

Either way – not a fan of public proposals for this reason.

If that was real, he totally deserved that.

@MrsNewDay:  Yeah, my FI did a sort of public proposal – it was in a public place, but he didn’t get anyone’s attention really. I wouldn’t have wanted it in our home, but I also didn’t want it in front of everyone we knew and I didn’t want it in a closed in setting like a restaurant, so the way he did it ended up being perfect – even though I didn’t tell him all those rules lol..

@futuremrsk18:  I think there is public (which is cool as it’s good to step outside the box) and then there is PUBLIC. That guy in video… you could tell that they were not on the same page at all… Yet he decided to just go with it anyway (assuming it is real). That was obnoxious and PUBLIC. 🙂

LOL. it doesn’t matter if it’s real or not, that’s beside the point! it’s still fun to watch!
