I’m not sure about the actual answer to your question, but I think with what you’re doing – cookies, guests would be sad if they didn’t each get one! 🙂

One per person. (I love short answers!)

One person if you are having assigned seats at the table, but one per couple if not (ie. just putting people at a specific table and letting them figure out where to sit at that table.)

Okay Sweeney, you are going to have to explain to me what an escort card it.  (Sometimes reading all these postings is enough to give me a panic attack – I’m sure there are a million things I should be doing and haven’t even thought of yet – like escort cards?)

Typically it’s one per couple/invite (suzanno, escort cards are the cards that tell people what table they are sitting at).  If you’re doing cookies though, I would make sure there is one cookie per person – maybe 2 in a bag for a couple?

I think EK has the right idea!  For place cards, you’d need one per person, but for escort cards, I think it’s one per invite (I believe this was the answer I got a long time when I posted a similar question somewhere…).  But I agree that with cookies, each person would love one — the idea of putting enough cookies in the bag for each person in the invite would be the ideal compromise, no?
