I was thinking I’d have little pots of herbs with my guests’ names and table numbers.
But then I saw this:http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/c7/ac/fb/c7acfb8221f27e058b6aa2043475756c.jpg
It would be a whole lot easier…but not as pretty. The coasters could also double as wedding favors (do you think people would like that?)
So, which one??

marymary123: The coasters are cute but I wouldn’t take it home because I wouldn’t have a set. The herbs I can use.

julies1949: the thing is, we have a lot of Out of Town guests, so herbs would be hard to take home…
should we provide extra coasters in case people want more? most of our guests are coming with their family or with their SO, so they’ll be going home with at least 2 coasters.

marymary123: You could do some of each and allow your guests a choice.
Or, you could not bother given that favour are purely optional and you have already hosted your guests at a nice reception.

well if i go with the coasters, i am thinking about doing an herb centerpiece (i was going to do that anyway, but it would’ve been a lot simpler since we had herb place cards too). I can either have multiple pots of herbs, or one big one…. If I do multiple, then guests can easily take them home.
it’d be between something like this http://weddingdish.thinklikeabride.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Centerpieces-herbs.jpg and http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/vv298/theliebertfamily/blog3/151c887a.jpg

I wouldn’t care for either. Can I just get a nomal escort card? Maybe have those out as favors if guests are interested…?

herbs 🙂 I almost did them for my wedding too, because we were doing all potted centerpieces! I think people would enjoy the herbs more than the coaster, myself. But you could definitely do some of each if you’d like.
