I do ! I love antique and vintage jewelry.  I am kind of obsessed with it 🙂 I have several pieces -even some that date back to the mid 1800′ Here are a few of them :

Not a topaz, but an antique amethyst set from my Grandma. Here it is on my wedding day (cropped the pic that has me wearing the ring). The ring, the necklace, and the earrings (with detachable drop amethysts) make up the set. Circa 1910-1920

theseaforus:  Wowza!! Your ERing is GORGEOUS!! That shade of blue is breathtaking. I recently got a smoky topaz ring from my mom. It probably qualifies as “antique”, because I think she’s had it for about 40 years or so. My aunt gave it to her.

It’s way too small for me, so I’ll have to have the stone reset one of these days. I’m thinking it would look beautiful in rose gold. The current setting is very plain and silver.

theseaforus:  Meant to ask, did your ring come yet? It looks beautiful! Upload pics when you get it 🙂

Thought I would come back to post a quick picture of the smoky topaz I got from my mom. Not the best picture, as it’s fairly dark in here. But the stone does have a very pretty color. As you can see, it doesn’t even come close to fitting on my gigantic hand — ha, ha!

theseaforus:  Thanks! I’m looking forward to finding a new setting for it. Hopefully, I won’t have to wait too long.

And speaking of waiting … Did your ring arrive yet? I feel like I’m on pins and needles waiting for you to get it. Can’t wait to see some IRL pictures of that gorgeous thing.

This cornelian used to belong to my great great great grandmother. It was set into a ring for my great grandma, who willed it to my grandma, who set it into a simple pendant for me. It’s much more of a vivid dark red in person, and the chain she chose glitters perfectly. We have no idea how old it is – only figured out what it was when I won a free appraisal. I like having a piece of my family’s history! Just wish we knew more about it.
