Hi, there! I actually have a half-eternity, but thought since no one’s replied that I would give my input on why I picked half- instead of eternity. =) I was in the same boat as you, I thought I’d want the matching eternity style pave band so that the “blank” part would never show. But A) it was more expensive, and B) it’s harder to size up or down a full eternity band. My e-ring actually has pave diamonds on the side, but it doesn’t go all the way around either, so I decided to go with partial. In all honesty, my wedding band doesn’t usually spin too often, and it hasn’t bothered me the way I thought it might. =)

Oh, and I don’t know what the total weight of the half-eternity is — my ring size is a 4.5, and my band has 16 pave diamonds, and my wedding band is 2mm wide (e-ring has a *slightly* narrower band, with 8 pave diamonds on either side).

I’ve tried on eternity bands and one thing the salesman pointed out was that they’re near impossible to re-size. He suggested a half-eternity. I still want my eternity band!

However, that is something to take into consideration if you feel like your fingers are constantly growing and shrinking.

i love my eternity band – i don’t think it’s uncomfortable at all!  i always wanted a full eternity, because i love the fact that it sparkles from every side.

mine is comprised of 17 .20 stones for a total of 3.4 carats.  i have a size 6.25 finger.  here’s a pic

Hi, I have an eternity band. My ring size is 5.5 and its a total of 2 carats. It’s not uncomfortable. I love my eternity just by the fact it just has it own graceful wow factor and if I wore it alone, I still love it.

Right now Im wearing a CZ eternity band and the stones are pretty small. Before I was wearing a plain silver band. THe eternity definitely took a day to get used to because I wasnt used to feeling the stones in between my fingers. Now I dont even notice it at all.

I think comfort is a matter of personal taste, but no matter what you get used to it. I have an engraved engagement ring and the band is pretty thick (width) I sometimes find it gets irritating on the sides of my fingers if its wet or cold. But my wedding band will be the same width w/ diamonds so I’ll just have to get used to that too.

My jeweler suggested leaving two diamonds out of my setting purposefully for resizing (I mean its my wedding band and I want to be able to wear it even if I get super fat or super thin!!!!) I wish I had a pic, but basically what he did was just leave two stones out (on the bottom) and engraved it so it still looks like there are diamonds all the way around unelss you are really looking. A co-worker of mine actually recommended me to him and has the same thing she loves it.
