I just discover Etsy.com and its amazing!!! I can't believe I haven't heard of this before.
Have any of you purchase things from here? If so, what is your experience?
Is it save?
I've had great experiences w/ Etsy. It's all individual vendors though, like ebay.. just check out the sellers out too and you're golden!
To answer your questions, yes and yes. Many of us buy things from there or even have our own stores. Just search for 'etsy' and you will be able to read plenty of posts about it.
Bees post on here all of the time about Etsy, so I am very surprised that you hadn't heard of it already. I have already purchased my custom made garters from an Etsy seller and everything went great. I am now in the process of getting my veil custom made by another lady.
LOVE Etsy! In fact I am having our cake topper made from one of the peeps on there. can't wait to see it!

I LOVE Etsy! It is one of my favorite sites to turn to for handmade items. Never had a bad experience.
love me some etsy. I have a favorite seller and every now and then she'll send an extra necklace/earrings for me to keep since I buy a lot of gifts.
I order totes with my bridesmaid's names monogrammed on them, rubber stamps, and lately a poodle onesie for a friend. My sister sells jewelry on Etsy and I think its a great site for people who enjoyed making creative things for others.
I JUST received my hair flower from a seller on Etsy. I also got our Save The Dates and ringbearer bowl on esty! I'm a huge fan of the site. Just be sure to check the feedback and you'll be just fine!

I buy and sell on Etsy - LOVE it!!!!! I'll be getting several wedding items from Etsy - I want a rnig bearer bowl, and will be getting my MOH a custom clutch.
I can't say enough great things about Etsy! I've used it for a variety of things and have been happy with my purchases every single time.
I love when people first discover Etsy - it's so fun. Before I found WB, etsy was my obsession website. I can sit on it for HOURS.
I've already bought a necklace, a birdcage veil, fabric, some decorations, and some other stuff from Etsy... not to mention a bunch of NWR stuff.
LOVE etsy! easy to use and surf through... and GREAT vendors!

PS: can i just say i love your enthusiasm and surprise for etsy! it was very sweet and made me want to buy stuff.

I've bought quite a lot from the site with only 1 bad experience (a t-shirt seller who never sent me my goods and freaked out when I gave them a bad review!). Overall, I've worked with some amazing people and can't say enough about the quality of the items I have recieved.

I got my purse, ring pillow, escort cards, card box, and table numbers from Etsy. The vendors communicated with me and even wrapped the stuff in pretty boxes. Everything came on time and looked beautiful. I got tons of compliments on the stuff. I am not crafty and Etsy helped me still have unique items for my wedding. I would highly recommend them, and use them again for an event.
I've gotten my garter, hair comb, one of the personalized lingerie hangers, 6 personalized necklaces for gifts, custom cut wood letters for my Mr. and Mrs. chair signs, fun fact printed cocktail napkins. oh! and our fabulous Etsy wedding splurge - paper sculpture cake topper! - and I am making my own Lego cufflinks although I almost bought them from Etsy sellers instead.

I've had only good experiences with Etsy. I've gotten custom buttons, my hair flower, and some fun NWR stuff too. It's a great site.
I am an Etsy-holic! lol. I've ordered (as far as I can remember off-hand):
peony blooms for my flowergirls to wear in their hair
a big yellow flower for my own hair for my "day after" wedding session as well as an ivory bloom that I haven't worn yet
custom-made flowergirl and ringbearer tote bags (with their names embroidered) that I filled with goodies and toys
a "bee happy" necklace for my daughter
ties for my hubby, dad and groomsmen for the wedding
a "Just married" banner
bridal shower thank you cards
a custom silk dupioni bridal clutch (with our initials and wedding date inside)
a custom North Carolina Tarheels garter (which I proceeded to hide from my husband so well before the wedding that I still haven't found it to this day - lol)
custom petal cones (to hold rose petals to throw at the ceremony) that incorporated our wedding colors and patterns
a gorgeous organza bolero from Bonzie to wear at my reception with my dress
a custom ring bearer bowl from Paloma's Nest
Yes, I know ... I have a problem. lol. And I'm sure there's a couple more things that I just can't remember at the moment. But I've really had great experiences with the Etsy sellers with whom I've dealt.

I ordered SO many things from Etsy for our wedding and everything was just great, including using the Alchemy feature to have someone make my now husband's outfit - he was dressed as Tristan from the movie Stardust. Etsy rocks!
Sigh....LOVE etsy SO MUCH! I got my wedding gift for FI through Etsy...I found a poem that really meant a lot to both of us, and used alchemy to find someone who turned it into a really beautiful work of art. Can't say enough good things about etsy!!
