You can order custom stamps from places like Current, and I think I saw them on VistaPrint as well.
I would wait to hear back from the seller, because, since this was her fault, she should make every effort to get a recplacement to you ASAP, especially since time is of the essence for a stamp being used for these purposes.
I did a custom stamp through an office supply store online--they actually have a couple of different designs, although not totally as fancy as what Etsy might have. I really like the one we got, and it was only around $10--much cheaper than what I saw on Etsy!
@K_Bride: Yeah, I paid 53.00 for this baby :( I will definitely look into an office supply.
@ msapricot- I'm hoping this can be fixed too, but I'm not very optimistic.
@maureen9004: That stinks, I really hope the seller makes good on her deal. Refund or something if she can't quick fix it.
Did she send you a proof of the stamp?? I just ordered one on Etsy last Friday, and it was shipped on Thursday. She sent me a proof of the stamp so I could make any corrections and verify all the information was correct.
Seller just emailed me back and is refusing to refun the purchase because she "does this for ten hours" and I approved the proof. I did not approve the proof- I told her there were a few mistakes. I never saw a second proof.
@maureen9004: ugggghhhh sounds like this is going to have to go through etsy/paypal dispute then!
@maureen9004: Do you have everything saved? All of your emails and what not? If she refuses to budge, file a claim with paypal and get your money back and find a different stamp.
i used JLMould and it took her under 2 weeks to get it to me. She was awesome to work with and says she accepts Rush orders.
Etsy her. http://www.etsy.com/shop/JLMould
Yuck. I wouldn't drop the matter. Usually if you don't relent (stay civil, naturally) they'll come around.
I hand addressed our invites, and it really wasn't so miserable.
There were "a few" mistakes in a 3 line stamp proof? That's really bad.
Hey I used those stamps too!!! :) But on another note. I'm sorry about the Etsy seller. That really sucks.
@helenberrycrunch: I hand addressed our invites too, with a sweet calligraphy pen! But I will stamp our return address on all the RSVP envelopes
Yeah, I just got an email about how she's a buisness woman who works 50-60 hours a week. I simply told her I did not approve the final proof and would dispute with paypal. I'm stressed about this :(
terrible customer service aside, if she does this for 10 hours a day and still hasn't figured out that streets are usually prefaced by numbers, methinks she needs a new profession.
I ordered a custom stamp from this lady and I just love it! She did a complete re-design for us from a stamp that was in her listing at no extra charge. She even used one of my clip art photos. I am THRILLED with the result. Production/Shipping was also quick and I am in Canada, so it usually takes a full 5 business days. Her prices are also very reasonable.
I highly recommend you contact her and see if she can help you out.
I think she should at least meet you halfway. If the street name was the part that was wrong but you didn't mention it when you mentioned that correction then I could see her point about you approving with changes.
You can get custom stamps elsewhere for cheaper thought.
@camrie: I missed it during the first correction. The email said to check spelling and pick a design.. I didn't even think about the numbers (it's an address stamp!)
I should have noticed, but it got passed me. :(
Oh no!! I really hope this gets worked out. I hope she caves in and you can get some money back or something. If not, it looks like others have given some other good places to try. Ugh! That is so frustrating!
i had a custom stamp made online and it took 3 days to arrive!
they are seriously good/fast/cheap!!
I will look into all of these. The seller is denfensive and making personal attacks so we will work it out with paypal. I love that I now have a negative feedback saying I was "sending her angry emails" I just don't send angry emails. I thanked her for her time in each, pointed out what I would like to see happen, and said we can work through paypal.
I feel sick over this. I understand her point that I recieved one proof and did not notice the missing street numbers (I was concerned with misspellings)- but this is an address stamp. The street numbers are sort of important.

In April I ordered my sister a custom address stamp for her RSVP's. Yesterday it arrived- I was so excited. It was awesome. I began stamping and adding postage to the envelopes- about 50 later I looked down and saw this:
Fail.
The seller forgot to add the street number even though it was in the invoice. I've emailed her and am waiting for a reply- I need to get the invitations out by the second week of june so I'm probably SOL (stamp took her five weeks). Anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this or have recommendations of somewhere with a quick turn around for a custom stamp?
