Ok so there was a post a while ago asking if ETSY was overpriced I like most memebers said yes. So here’s my advice…
I love the stuff sold on etsy… so awesome so I go there for inspiration only! Then I take keywords and search on ebay and often times find something exact for way cheaper.
Here’s 2 examples:
Wanted this… at $85 hell no!
So I bought this:

Nice finds! I’ve used Etsy both to buy stuff, and to get inspiration. You are right, often you can find similar stuff on ebay cheaper! On regretsy.com sometimes she highlights samples like this and it is so funny!

I love Esty and would get everything from it if I could afford it, but in my personal opinion and experience with searching there, everything is way over priced. Drop dead gorgeous, but way too much money for me. Great ideal to search the same name in Ebay. I do love Ebay.

I usually can’t find ANYTHING I want on Etsy (aside from patterns, big surprise), so I typically stick with eBay. I finally found my daughter’s FG dress on eBay (she picked it between two dresses. her words/screech of excitement: “THAT ONE! I want that one! Can I have it?” LOL!) and it’s under $30 with s&h. I won’t mention what Etsy wanted…. eeeesh.
