I am new to this website and this is my first post.
I have 8 best friends who I really want to be my bridesmaids, but my fiance has 5 groomsmen in mind. I wasn’t sure if this was acceptable or if it would look weird from the attendants view. Oh I also have a junior bridesmaid as well so that brings my count to 9.

It is 100% fine to have uneven sides in a bridal party.

As long as you’re okay with an unsymmetrical bridal party, then it’s fine. It will get kind of awkward if you’re doing a bridal party dance, though, because you’ll have 4 girls without someone to dance with.

I have an unsymmetrical party! One of the Groomsmen is going to walk down the isle with the flower girl =)

The great thing about weddings today is brides and grooms can make them MUCH more personalized and don’t have to follow tradition–my Fiance and I almost didn’t have even sides of the bridal party, but then he turned around and asked another one of his friends to be a groomsman. I’d say as long as you don’t mind the aesthetic of having uneven sides, then go for it! There’s no reason for your fiance to feel pressured to ask random people to stand up with him just for the sake of making it even–you want the people who mean the most to stand up there with you on your day! 🙂 As far as exiting the ceremony is concerned, a couple of his groomsmen can just escort two ladies down the aisle during the recessional. No biggie!

Thank you everyone. I was thinking to have the junior bridesmaid walk in with the flower girl and ring bearer that way she will have a job (she is 9)
