FI and I are seriously thinking of choosing a european sponge cake for our wedding cake. We love lemon and berry flavors, but we’re unsure if this combo will work or even if we can incorporate these flavors together.
How did you do your european sponge cake?
Suggestions needed so cake can be ordered and crossed off our list of to-do’s!

Get a tasting and see what you like before you decide. Also keep in mind that you probably will only get the one bite you feed each other so you need to take your guests’ preferences into account, which may not be the same as yours.
Some people love the lemon/berry combo and others hate it. Lemon cake is something that people either love or hate with no in between, but most people like berry anything. Take a survey of your guests (parents, siblings, etc) to see what they would prefer.

Is this like a genoese sponge cake type thing? If so, i’m all for vanilla with a lemon filling. I know it’s not an option but i’m being a punk anyways. Berry makes me nervous because i almost always end up with seeds in my teeth.
