I'm hoping my Boston Bees can help me out.  I'm planning a corporate event in Boston on Aug. 16th.  The convention is happening at the Boston Convention and Expo Center, so prefferably, they'd like to do something within walking distance.  There would be approximately 75-150 clients coming and going.

The best ones I could find were: Legal Sea Foods, Anthony's Pier 4, and Barking Crab.  Any other ideas?

I need to come up with a list so I can visit them when I'm in Boston at the beginning og December.

    Thanks for your help.

That is right near where I am getting married!  What type of event are you looking for? Just renting out a room/area of a bar/restaraunt? What is your price point?

Those are all great ideas, here's some others.

The Atlantic Beer Garden - fun, has beautiful outdoor patio/bar

MJ O'Connors - a bit more of a walk, maybe 3/4 of a mile (but it is located within the Westin Hotel) and has great food and awesome drinks - it's a very "Boston" bar

Morton's Steakhouse - an incredible steakhouse, but definitely high on the price end

Harpoon Brewery is also located right near there and I imagine would give you a great deal on a Brewery Tour and I think they do events there as well

    FYI:

The Legal Seafood that is there is actually called Legal Test Kitchen (LTK) and isn't your typical Legal Seafood -- it's still really great food but it's actually their test kitchen where they test food.

Anthony's Pier Four is a very old established place in Boston, but it isn't exactly what it used to be, still a very classic location to bring people who don't know Boston well, but it's seen better days.

Barking Crab is SUPER fun and outdoors and very great for a summer event, but it does get fairly crowded and I'm not sure they'd be able to house a group that big (but I could totally be wrong - so double check that!!)

Which hotel are you all staying at? My wedding is at the Seaport World Trade Center, as a part of the Seaport Hotel.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the ideas HumarockBride.  I'm not sure which hotel, it's a big conference so people will probably be staying at several hotels near there, that's why we wanted something within walking distance.  We don't know how many people will rent cars, etc.

For example, at this year's conference in Long Beach CA, we had the event at a lighthouse/bar/restuarant.

if you really want to impress you could look into having an event at the New England Aquarium or the Spirit of Boston.
