i had a job interview at a haircut place on friday. i met with the manager and she was really cool, showed me around, showed me how everything works, etc. she asked me to come back and do a haircut for her the next day, which also went well. she liked what i did, i met the other stylists, they told me where i could buy the equipment that they recommend, and i walked away feeling really good about it- the way she was talking made it sound like they were going to hire me. i just had one last hoop to jump through: meet with the owner and get his stamp of approval, which i did today.
we met at a pub (his choice, not mine). i was really nervous, so i’m sure i came off as a total idiot at times. it was so noisy (music & football games going) it was hard for me to hear and talk. we were interrupted by the waitress twice and he took a phone call in the middle of the interview, so i sort of lost my train of thought a couple times and it took me a minute to get back on track. he said he was meeting with a couple other applicants after me and will give the manager his two cents on everyone.
i guess i didn’t COMPLETELY bomb it, but didn’t walk away feeling great about it like i did after the first 2 times.
i just need some words of encouragement. has anyone ever felt like they had a really bad interview and still got the job?
