Going into wedding planning, I knew I wanted a fairly simple wedding that really reflected my fiance and I.

BUT reading wedding blogs and getting caught up in the twirly crazy beauty of other people's weddings and ideas... I somehow got it into my head that I wanted a videographer, when at the beginning, I was ANTI-videographer!

After doing some research and thinking it through, I realized I was getting carried away, and it wasn't something I really wanted...

Has this happened to anyone else?  Are there parts or elements of weddings you've seen that you felt you HAD to have before sitting down, thinking it through, and taking your wedding back a bit?

    yep!

I've found that writing stuff down helps me. Also, bookmarking ideas like crazy (I have like 20-25 wedding related bookmark folders) and then going back every so often and sorting through them. I click "open all in tabs" on one folder and then go through them looking for commonalities and things where I got carried away - then I delete the stuff I changed my mind on (or was crazy to consider) and focus on the good ideas that have come out of it. :)

@krissycake Totally.  I had to actually take a month long Weddingbee break because it was too much!  :(
