My DH and I are working from home today due to Snowpocalypse 2014. We live in a small apartment so we are both sitting at our coffee table working on our laptops.
He is on a call with some of the women he works with over a situation theyre having. I used to work with him and them so they know me and must have asked about me. He started talking about how I made pigs in a blanket for lunch and how they were low calorie (they werent, they were not following the low fat recipe I found because I dont have phyllo dough on hand so I had to use crescent rolls) but whatever. And he was talking about me like he was so proud I made these Low cal snacks, and he was like “yeah you know because she’s always counting calories.”
Uhhh why would you say that to someone?!?! LOL I’m not mad or venting, it was just a weird thing to say to women (especially ones I’m not close with!) Have you ever overheard your partner say something weird about you that you didnt agree with? I cant be the only one!

OMG, haha, my DH comes from the whole Midwestern nice-to-your-face-talks-smack-behind-your-back tradition, so Lord knows what he says about me! I like to imagine it’s all sunshine and puppies, haha.
On a positive note, one time we ran into a bunch of DH’s friends having a guys’ night while we were out, and they were all talking about their proposals and how hard they worked planning them and how excited they were about their wives/FIs. It was sooooo cute!

My husband was on the phone to his dad one afternoon, and they were chatting about God knows what. I was making lunch in the kitchen, and all I heard was “…no dad, no babies yet…I know, she’s honestly the best thing that’s ever happened to me…” I almost dropped the jar I was holding, it was so cute.
I’ve never heard him say anything bad about me before. I hope he never does!

@1stRosie: Could it be that this other woman is on something similar? Or she’s complained to him about her weight in the past? Maybe he was looking for common ground between you two and that was what popped into his mind!
I have caught my DF talking about me on skype to his friends overseas. It’s funny to hear his take on my job. It’s totally different (and much more flattering to me) than my own opinion on it!

@howsweetitis: That is adorable!!!!
tiffanyscanlan Sooo cute!! I’m a bad wife, I dont post when he says something amazing about me, just when he’s done soemthing silly haha.
sostobe It was so funny, after he got off the phone I asked him why he said that and he was so embarrassed! He was liek “I dont know– I got nerovus! I didnt know what to say!” It was too funny hearing that from him. I guess he assumes all women are worried about their weight (not the most out of line assumption haha)
