Have you ever heard of a bridal show for full figured women?? some of these stores need to get a clue... brides are larger than a size 6.  It's hard enough that we can't try on too many dresses in the store.  When we go to the shows its the same ole same!

I was just wondering, have you ever heard of one?

better yet, why don't they come up with a plus size bridal STORE... where they keep dresses in stock to try on!

maybe in a perfect world... one can only wish

I bought my dress from Curvaceous Couture, a store in Columbia, MD that only has plus size samples from designers like Pronovias, Enzoani, Ian Stewart, etc... It was so great to try on stuff that actually fit.

When I was there, she said there was going to be a full-figured fashion week sometime this summer up in NYC and she was sending up some of her samples to be shown.

@ bethsabride. thanks for the info, I may just have to take a trip down there. I appreciate the info! I was just sounding off. I've been to more than one bridal show and not ONE dress was a full figured dress.

To find stores that carry Real Sizes in your area, my suggestion would be to go to the manufacturer's website and look at their store locator. Once you do that you can call the boutiques that carry them in your area, and some of them might even be able to "borrow" the styles you liked so you can try them on. You can also e-mail the manufacturer and ask for authorized retailers that carry them that they would recommend. I know there is a few designers that are known for their plus Size collections.  Aurora D' Paradiso, Kellan J, Alfred Angelo are a few of them. Good luck!!

I think part of the problem is the the individual boutiques don't get to choose the size of their samples (without a fee).  Just like at the shoe store - they always display the small, cute size.
