Happy Belated!!! Now- leave. lol
I've done it before, sometimes you really do appreciate that extra hour of rest. I do feel guilty, until I get home. Then I'm glad I did. I've also taken a day off to just do my own thing. I call it mental health time. Go for it!
Thanks, guys! Happy birthday to me! Haha.
Now I'm leaning toward getting out of here. Hmm...
lol YEP. although my boss really doesn't care. he doesn't believe in "working hours." We work when we need to and we rest when we need to. When we're slow we don't work all that much and when we're busy we work half the night. It can be frustrating that its unpredictable but also really nice that i have so much freedom!
Happy Birthday!
Yes I have and I can because im the only one in my office! no one to tell on me!
Sometimes there is just no productivity left! Mental health is just as important as physical health so I say go for it! (and ps - happy birthday!)
Know what guys? I'm outta here! Ha! Thanks for the comments :) I feel slightly less guilty now.
dooooooo it, it's so worth the guilt sometimes! i 99.9% of the times feel like you and end up staying, but those few times i have gone home or adjuted my hours, i totally appreciate the extra time... and work is STILL fine the next day.
you need a mental break sometimes, that's all!
HAPPY BDAY!
Happy belated birthday! I just wish I had a job where leaving early was an option. Fast food sucks. You practically have to be dying to leave. I was literally running back and forth to the restrooms to throw up one night and they still wouldn't let me go.
DEFINITELY! I understand how it is sometimes; I haven't had a vacation this entire year and now that it's coming up in a week, I've "mentally" checked out lol. I do feel guilty when I leave and can't stop checking my emails though! Ha ha! Happy birthday!
I used to at my old job, but don't now at my new job. I am so much more committed and driven, I feel so happy and lucky to be here.
I know what you mean though when you feel totally exhausted and run down during a week when there are a lot of after work activities, work happy hours, etc.

Ha!
Have you ever left work just because you couldn't take it anymore, and needed to get out a few hours early? I'm having one of those days, and am seriously contemplating getting the heck out of here an hour early. I probably won't though, because then I'll feel guilty.
I'm just exhausted. I'm yawning like every three minutes and keep day dreaming about a nap on the couch. We've also had a busy week socially. It was my birthday yesterday, and while it's been amazingly fun, we've been going out every night this week so far, and tomorrow is a company BBQ that I already committed to. Ugh. I just could really use some extra time. Even if only an hour.
So, have you ever left work 'cause you needed to? I'm salaried, so thankfully, my office is pretty flexible about leaving early. It's the one good perk about my job.
