lol Im kind of the same way except instead of the train its the bling factor. At first I wanted a simple dress with a sash and than a beautiful brouch to go with it. Now I look at these beautiful lace beaded dress that are really ornate and cant help salivating over them. Im drewling just thinking about them. (most people do that over the catering part)
I hear ya. When I started out I didn't even want to wear a wedding dress -- just a cute white sundress, and before I knew it I bought a Maggie Sottero strapless gown that I would have never even looked at prior to wedding planning! I also thought I didn't wat a veil, but I ended up wearing one for the ceremony! The wedding industry sure does know how to get their claws into us.
it not only applies to train length but pretty much to every aspect of the wedding.......and i thought i was over the cinderalla dream wedding phase in my life.......
I was looking for a very simple dress with minimal detailing and ended up with a dress that has a very detailed bodice and train! I did however choose a very simple veil - just a two-layer elbow-length with a pencil edge. I guess that was my way of introducing something "simple".
I was looking for a simple dress with no train, but the plain/simple dresses I found looked horrible one me. The dress that looked best has beadwork and a train, go figure.
I agree- haha- and as our wedding is getting more and more complicated my fiance blames weddingbee :) Before weddingbee I did not know what a boudior photo shoot was or out of town gift bags!
It's amazing how seductive it all is... I've found myself rebelling a little bit and resisting some of the fancy touches because it feels too WIC all of a sudden. it's hard to find the right balance!

The more involved you become with wedding planning, the longer the train of your dress. I started off with no train, just a simple dress. Now I'm like Julie Andrews in The Sound of <usic with a 20 foot cathedral train and three bustles (not really, but close). If I don't buy a dress soon, its going to get out of control.
