- Wedding: October 2009
Chances are, if you are anything like me, you haven’t. But…..my future husband is another story. Our wedding is fairly small and very rustic, outdoors, ect, ect. I wasn’t too terribly worried about flowers as we are using small milk glass vases on our tables and not a lot of flowers will fit in them. I was just planning on going to the flower market or costco the day before the wedding and calling it a day,.
However, my FH had other things in mind. He, completely on his own, approached a local florist about the condition of their sign in the front of their store and offered to design and install a new sign if they would be willing to trade for wedding flowers. They took the offer and are now providing us with all the flowers that we will need, including my bridal bouquet, woohooo! One thing that I don’t have to diy 🙂 We are going to have dahlias, gerbera daisies, larkspur and a little yellow flower that I forgot the name of for the centerpieces.
I’m so excited to not have to worry about flowers now, and it just goes to show that thinking outside of the box sometimes does pay off!!
