@anotherbee:  It’s really hard to say. I mean, one time a month is enough if you time it right. It really just depends on when you O and if there is sperm inside of you to get to the egg in time! You have a 12-24 hour window for fertilization after the egg is released and they SAY sperm can live up to three days but my doctor said that’s pushing it, it’s more like two.

I hope for your sake that it is enough but I guess if you can up it, go for it.

In May, which was cycle 11 of TTC for us, I had to go on a business trip.  I used OPKs and charted, so I knew that we lost valuable fertile days.  I happened to get back on O day and that was the only time we BDed during my fertile time.  This, FF saying my chances of being pregnant were low, and 10 previous unsuccessful cycles convinced me that this month was a bust, too.  11 days later, when I saw a faint line on my HPT, I was sure it was a faulty test. A FRER and a digital later, I finally believed that we had gotten our BFP!

So, yes.  Once can be enough. Just BD as often as you can when you know you are fertile.  If that’s every three days, then that’s what it is.  Good luck! 🙂

@anotherbee:  People get pregnant from one night stands, so for sure it is possible!
Fingers crossed for you xx

@anotherbee:  I’m in the same boat with my husband’s work schedule and as you know, it has not worked out for us so far. We have actually had relatively good timing in all cycles so far with no BFP – except when we BD on the same day of O. We could have other factors contributing to that, too though.. Who knows.

If you can only do every three days then that’s all you can do. Of couse the more the better, but it only takes once! 🙂

You should join the charters thread. Lots of helpful ladies in there and we’ve all posted links to our charts for creeping and stalking. LOL. 🙂

@mrsjapley:  LOL. It IS creepy how you can pretty much guess what someone’s mood/posts will be like based on what they temped that morning.

@anotherbee:  Also, keep in mind that even if you have PERFECT timing, there is only a 20% chance every month that the egg will fertilize and implant successfully… Like this last cycle, when we had perfect timing and it didn’t work. Gr lol
