My most comfortable heels are actually from Payless! Everyone always compliments them too and I also just giggle because I paid $14 for them. What part of your feet hurt with the heels you wear them? You may want to invest in insoles, blister block or Dr.Scholls…. If its just a general ache, then perhaps you should go down 1/2 an inch?

oh, and also… a little more "better quality" shoe that I always find comfortable are Nine West. They usually always have black pumps ina range or heights.

Awhile back, I got two great pairs — same style, one in black and the other brown — from Aldo.  What makes them so amazingly comfy is that the back of the pump isn’t rigid and unyielding…it’s soft and flexible and elastic-y, like a ballet slipper!

@Guava – that was my first reaction lol but ohmigosh they are worth every penny! I used to be a payless gal then I was in a car accident where my left foot got hurt really bad and I couldn’t wear them anymore. I had to go 5 months without wearing heels…then my boss told me about the Cole Haan’s! I love them.

I think it depends a lot on your foot shape…I have a terrible time too.

I recently bought a pair of Coach pumps, though, and I think they might be the one.

The Cole Haan Nike Air’s seem to work for a lot of people, but I think I’m going to return the pair I bought (have only worn around the house on carpet to try out, but still just not doing it for me).

Via Spiga pumps also work for me, but I only have a dress/evening pair.

I have a pair of black leather Jimmy Choos. They were pricey, but I’ve worn them at least twice a week for a year and a half and they are always comfortable. The only time they start to hurt is after a full day at work and into about hour 3 of happy hour. I wear them everywhere though and love them.

My favorite heels are Jessica Simpson’s Henri heels.  I love them!  I think they’re comfy (and I’m on my feet a good portion on the day) and are way sexy.
