I feel your pain! The EXACT same thing happened to me. I'd already tried the dress on and was ready to order once I had the money and ... there it goes, can't order it. It just seems to be that time of year, clear out the 2009 and bring in 2010. Those dresses are pretty popular in general with the elements you want, it seems. So... I would say you have 2 options.
1) wait until the new stuff is released for 2010 and start again looking for what you want from the new line. Or ..
2) have one of those dresses custom made. I intend to go through Milly Bridal when the time comes because I can get what I really truly want and not compromise on anything. The have some really good reviews too. (www.millybridal.com)
Most importantly though, relax! Everything happens for a reason, and this is supposed to be fun. You'll find THE dress!
Look for it as a sample or used or someone selling a new one they never wore. All the dresses I liked were several seasons ago...ended up getting a pristine sample for like a tenth of the cost!

So far the 2 dresses I like the most are BOTH discontinued (even though Mikaella still has it listed on their site!!). They're Paloma Blanca 3805 and Mikaella 1209 (I love the 1406 as well but am leaning towards something a little fuller)
I'm looking for satin, strapless sweetheart, ruching on the botice, pick-ups on the skirt, A-line or princess siloutte, pref bubble hem, pref corset. Does anyone have any ideas on a style or designer I should look at? Apparently my sense of style is dated=(
