I had major food aversions in my first trimester. I found I really only wanted sweets and McDonalds cheeseburgers! Good luck finding something you can eat!
@Anewmommatobe: For the past two weeks I wanted Mexican food. I hope I can find something soon.
@trugem:Then go get you some Mexican food! Pregnancy is one of those times you shouldn't feel guilty about indulging your cravings, as long as you moderate the unhealthy parts. Especially during the 1st trimester when the options of what you can keep down are slim. I ate a peanut butter sandwich every morning for about 5 weeks because it was the only thing my stomach would tolerate first thing in the morning.
During my first trimester, I literally lived off of baked potatoes and sour cream. That was it. The only thing I could tolerate. Just eat what makes you happy as long as you haven't been specifically warned not to and you are taking your vitamins.
Thanks ladies! I am about to run to the store to get some stuff. A baked potato sounds really good right now.
I had that issue my first trimester tool. All I could eat were carbs, everything else was gross. Especially meat.
Do I ever hear ya on this one! From about 7 weeks on, there was pretty much nothing that I ever felt like eating. Add to that the nausea, and the gross sour taste in my mouth that doesn't ever seem to go away, and finding something to eat becomes quite the chore!
However, my food aversion got much better once I started taking diclectin (still have bouts of nausea and the sour taste but they aren't half as bad as they were before). I remember saying to my husband....I will never take having an appetite for granted ever again!! haha.
One of the foods I lived on while experiencing such strong food aversion: Grill Cheese Sandwich! Mashed potatos were ok too. My girlfriend called it the "beige diet" when she was pregnant - haha.
I'm almost 12 weeks now, so I'm hoping the second trimester will bring some nausea and weird taste relief soon
Hope you ladies find some relief soon too
I could eat nothing but cold, fresh fruit my entire first and half of my second trimester. I wasn't getting enough protein so they make me drink these HUGE fresh fruit protein shakes in the mornings. They're quite yummy but make me feel like hurling. Too much liquid at once!
I keep craving FroYo! haha. I haven't had any food aversions yet, but I'm hoping I will be lucky!
I would go get some mexican food if that's what you're craving! As long as you limit yourself, you shouldn't feel badly. = )
Sorry I'm late responding. I am going to eat healthier versions of the food I like. I use brown rice instead of white rice when I make my burrito bowl.
@His Barista: I was addicted to FroYo, but I haven't had any in a few weeks.

My mama said that it is a pregnancy symptom. I can't find anything that tastes good. Any tips? Or do I have to wait and hope it ends soon?
