knpswp:  That was EWCM. And it’s okay if you only noticed it once. My bet is if you were checking internally you’d notice it a lot more. 😉 You’re supposed to mark the most fertile CM you see that day, even if it’s only once. So don’t over think it and keep reading TCOYF. They have great diagrams and examples of each CM type which I found very helpful.

CM is a tricky beast, a lot of women don’t see it on the outside, you have to actually check internally for it. But yeah, that sounds like EWCM.

If it stretches that far, then yeah, fertile mucus, even if it’s not perfectly clear 😉  Only getting it once externally is not uncommon.  The only other thing that would stretch like that and be clear is leftovers from DTD (sorry).  Always make sure to get those out or it’ll mess up your CM readings.

Here’s a pic that might clear things up for you, if you don’t mind looking at gross things lol: http://www.thymeandtimber.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Like-a-Mustard-Seed4.jpg

CoffeeBeanKate:  Goodness, is it just me or do some of those photos look more like some sort of infection??

kb7:  TMI but from someone who only charted CM and thus had to look at it a lot, they look pretty normal to me lol.

kb7:  Nope – those are all healthy fluids. The fact that so many women think they are symptoms of an infection mostly points to how inadequate our sex education is when it comes to women’s bodies and what is normal.

KCKnd2:  Mostly I’m talking about the yellow-ness.  I’ve never experienced anything like that but I guess everyone’s different.

Ah – might be partly due to different color settings on our screens (I don’t see yellowness). That said, in my experience a little bit of pale yellowness is perfectly normal.

CoffeeBeanKate:  thanks for the link! I looked and JUST YESTERDAY I had a sticky/tacky CM and i was bummed because today I’m supposed to O. Checked mucus today and realized that the CM is now semi-fertile according to the link you posted! Means I’m at least getting there even though it wasn’t when I thought for sure (Today). i was hoping to get EWCM today but it’s ok- just going to still enjoy time with my husband and make it a good experience!

Glad it helped!  Sounds like you’re on the right track 😉  The lady that taught the nfp method I learned had a book with pictures like that (but more of them i more detail) and while it was gross, I found it soooooo helpful.  Good luck this month!
