I definitely have. I've even had dreams about guys I've just crushed on but never dated. The most recent was my best friend's brother! I think our families always kind of thought we'd end up together, but it never worked out. In the dream we never actually kissed, but there was definitely serious sexual tension. Funny thing is, I haven't seen or talked to him in almost a year. I think it's totally normal and wouldn't worry about it :)
I can't even believe this is a thread right now - I had one last night. Like the only one I've ever had of an ex while with FI, and we've been together for almost 6 years. And let's just say it was an *intense* dream. I don't know why I had it and I wish I didn't!!! I never think about him or see him or anything. Ugh.
I never have sex dreams dealing with ex's (they are all my friends, so yeah, that would make the next lunch together rather humorous!)- but they are in there! About 90% of the time, they act as advice-givers of sorts. They are usually standing next to me or perched on something nearby, and I am usually speaking either directly to them about something, or they act in sort of a Jiminey cricket type situation. It's very interesting.
i had a dream a few months ago where i was with my ex fiances, but i was like wth are you doing here where is M?! and I dreamed that I was freaking out because I couldn't find M and I was opening doors but every door that I opened I couldn't see him, but I could feel him... finally i woke up and i gave him the biggest hug ever. i don't know what that dream meant, but i remember in the past when i was with my exes and i always felt like i was still looking for something... it was very nightmarish to me.
I've definitely had dreams about exes and others who I've had crushes on. I'm not sure what dreams like these mean.

I actually had an intense dream about this guy that more or less led me on for a long time, but nothing ever ended up happening between us - it dwindled down to friendship. In the dream we were living in the same building and I was hanging out at his place and some stuff happened...and I was still with my SO, though we weren't living together for some weird reason, and then I freaked out and I left. If anyone can find any interpretations of "Ex" dreams that happen when you're in a relationship, I would be curious to know!!
Any dream I have that has my ex in it is always scary and involves me trying to get away from him . . . I can never seem to get away fast enough!
Luckily, I have not had any other types of dreams with him in them *shudder*
OMG - let me just say THANK YOU for posting this!! I have had maybe 3 dreams about my ex over the past few months, and each time when I wake up the morning after I am like "what the H is wrong with me" - I e mailed my best friend about it, and she said it's normal, but its nice to hear more stories, and reassurance that its normal. It freaks me out.
It's weird - the ex in question and I broke up over 5 years ago, we don't see each other now or have any contact with each other, and I never think about him while I'm awake.
The dreams are generally "unresolved", we run into each other at a party and he acts like he wants to get back together, and then introduces me to his girlfriend or wife, and I am sad/upset. In real life though, given the chance, I would not get back together with him even if I was single - and certainly wouldn't ever give up R for him.
Ugh, it makes me feel so weird and guilty when I wake up. :(
Never had an ex, my husband was my only boyfriend.. I'm so lucky!
I think we all have dreams like this, but I don't think they mean anything much. Still, that doesn't stop me from feeling weird and guilty when I wake up. ;)
Thanks for making me feel normal about my dream. I so glad it was just a dream.
I've totally had these from time to time and I, like, hate my ex so I'm not really worried about having any sort of residual feelings for him that aren't on the homicidal range of the emotional spectrum. Don't worry about it or focus too much on it. The subconscious is a strange and interesting place.
I had a dream a few weeks ago about my ex. We dated forever in high school and the first year I was in college, but he was in the Army, and after I graduated high school didn't see him again. Well, randomly he came for a visit in my home town, which I don't live in anymore, actually I live like two states away! And all my high school friends wanted me to come home that weekend to see him (totally not gonna happen). So I had this total reunion dream about him. I woke up embarrassed, lol.

Let me just preface this by saying that I am definatley in love with my FH but last night I had a dream about my ex boyfriend. In my dream I was so attracted to my ex, in the dream he had left his current wife and wanted to get back together. I was feeling so torn in my dream. It left me feeling really weird today. Any of you had any dreams about past loves??
