They do the prettiest weddings, though! our room was right in full view of them. You can arrive on a horsedrawn carriage and they do here comes the bride in calypso.

don't brush your teeth with the water. use bottled. watch your breakfast for less than solidly cooked eggs. bring some pepto and tums. EVERYONE we met had a bout of food poisoning. At least, either them or their new spouse did.Sorry it's a damper, but man, i wish we knew!

FUN! My co worker actually got married in Majestic Punta Cana. The one thing him and his wife had trouble with in DR was the legal marriage documents. He said it had to be translated to spanish then back to english, then they didnt receive it back for a while. So you might want to look into it or consider getting legally married in ur hometown.

My FI and I will be having a DW too, in Aruba. We decided that we'd get legally married here first 2 weeks before we leave for Aruba. Less drama with the legal stuff!

We didn't get married there but had our honeymoon at the Excellence Punta Cana. It was amazing and beautiful and the perks for getting married there or being on your honeymoon are awesome. PM me if you want more details, but I highly recommend it!

I agree with Jingle96, consider getting legally married in the states before the wedding, especially in spanish speaking countries. Unless the resort does everything for you, it will be less hassle for you!
