I've got nothin', but if you search for "Excellence Riviera Maya" on WB, some older threads of what you're looking for do come up!
We're going to Excellene Playa Mujeres. We've been to mexico before in 2006 when we were 23 as well and don't need the party scene. I compared the two excellence resorts in mexico and just felt that PM met what we wanted a bit better - newer, nicer beach, better room layout, etc. Can't wait!
DH and I stayed at Excellence Punta Cana for our honeymoon 3 weeks ago. It was nothing short of amazing! The food was was absolutely terrific...a first for me as all other all inclusives I've stayed at I always struggle with the food. We met a nice older couple one night that said they've staed at the Excellence in Mexicao (not sure if there's one or 2) but they said it was also amazing and a little nicer...I couldnt imagine them being any nicer, lol. One thing I loved about Excellence Punta Cana...8 total restaurants and you didnt have to make a reservation anywhere! We ate like royalty!

So we decided to stay a little closer for our summer vacation this year and decided to go back to Mexico, (last time we were 23 so the crazy/party resorts were what we wanted,) but now want a nice, classy, adult only all inclusive resort.
Food is important, as well as the nightly activities/bars/clubs at the resort: because we don't plan on leaving.
I have read some AMAZING reviews on trip advisor about "Excellence Riviera Maya" - have any of you been there? If so, what was your experience?
