Exchanging Dress at David Bridal...

Hi..ladys. I was wondering if anyone knows about Davids bridal store exchange.

I had put a dress on layaway..and now have second thoughts on the dress. Now i decided to get another dress because i realized i wasnt in love with the fabric, cuz its like bed sheets fabric and it had a bow in the back..just looking at photos of me in the dress and seeing little details, had me realize..im NOt in love with the dress.

So there was another dress that i had tried on the same day. And I made up my mind in exchanging for that dress. But thing is the dress i want to trade it for is on sale for $299. The dress i have on layaway is $499.

Now question is....

If i exchange for the $299 dress..and already places a dwnpayment for the $499 dress. Am i purchasing the new dress thats $299 for the same price $499 or will i get it for the sale price???

Please Help???

I called david bridal..but got rude customer service help

Usually once you pay for the dress, it's yours regardless. My guess is that you're going to have to pay for both dresses. But I also have no idea how DB works...

You sign a thing at DB that says "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". :/ Depending on the particular store they may let you use your deposit for the other dress, but I think it will just be dependant on the manager.

When I ordered my dress from DB, I gave them the wrong dress number. I realized this approx, 5 day later. I went into the store and was able to get it corrected without any additional cost. I would try going into the store...you might get better service.
