Haha I love this! I know what you mean, I've fallen in love with this condo that we have to go look at next week, and I keep thinking about where we should put the wine racks or how the couch should go... it's funny how priorities change so much!
@Miss Caniche, you had me giggling. I think many of us have felt the same way some point in our lives. You know this almost reminds me of the part in the movie Old School where, Will Ferrel starts talking about going to Home Depot and Bed Bath and Beyond...
I actually cannot wait to buy the appliances that you speak of then I know I will finally have our first home :)
Oh! I'm at my parents house right now and they have that fridge! It stores anything, I swear... does yours have the water button on the inside left?
Also, come to think of it... the FILs have it too. I guess it's a good fridge!
@ RoddyBride09- Seriously love that movie... You know have a nice little weekend. A little Bed Bath & Beyond, a little Home Depot... I don't know if we will have enough time. HA!
@ Laboroflove- My parents have the same fridge too. They have the one with the water inside. We opted not to get that one because I have the 5 gallon jugs delivered once a month. So we figured that we would save some $.
Well, tell us the brand names, please! :) We're going to be house-hunting when we move back to the US, so depending on which house we buy, we may be in the market for these things. I love that red!
WOOHOO!!!! I cannot wait to go get my new stove and fridge next month (early wedding presents from the parents and gramma!!) Lets just say our stove the original stove when the house was built....in the 1940's!!!!!!!
HAPPY APPLIANCE SHOPPING!! and I love the red washer/dryer! jealous....
I love shopping for appliances! (I even went in Home Depot yesterday, looking at faucets and shower heads.LOL)
I love that washer and dryer, but it's out of my comfortable price range. I fell in love with it though. In my dreams I guess. I do know I want a front load one and not a top load.
Very cool fridge! Looks like the one in that wannabe bewitched commercial that holds the big cake. Definately good at Thanksgiving!
Ooooh man, I'm glad someone is excited about appliances! They stress me out so much! Thankfully one of my best childhood friend's dad owns an appliance store, so I'll just call him and ask him what I should buy.
For washer, make sure you get a nice and large capacity one. For your fridge, get the most cubic feet for the space you can.
We went out appliance shopping yesterday! Just to look... because if we get the house we put an offer on we'll need a stove/oven, hood, fridge, floors for the entire house, and lots of paint! lol.
It was fun picking tiles and all kinds of stuff! I'm really drawn to the double ovens they have out now, there's a "small" oven for cookies, pizza, etc... and the main oven for roasts, etc. So, you can cook 2 things in the space of 1 over at diff. temps! Genius!
I LOVE OUR APPLIANCES. We went with Samsung with HH Gregg and got a great deal. THe Washer/Dryer is great with the steam in it. I can put a wrinkled load in and it comes out great.
We also got a french door refridgerator. It wasn't much more than a standard side by side and it is much more luxurious feeling. I love the drawer at the bottom. Some do not include ice dispensers but ours did since that was a MUST for us.
i'd suggest checking out best buy for appliances. it's a place i know i don't think about when i think appliances, but we were able to snag a fantastic deal on our washer and dryer. that's the other thing we found out... they negotiate! who knew?
We have a Samsung Washer Dryer and it fits sooo much into one load!!
And just last week we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator like the one you posted except ours has the ice/water dispenser in front. The fridge has soooo much more room than our old traditional side by side and can easily fit a whole pizza box ;)
Best buy right now has a sale this week, just a FYI. Buy 3 appliances 15% off, 4 appliances. 20% off.
Babyboo, sounds like we have the same appliances, we also just got a 55" Samsung tv!
I am starting to think we should buy stock in Samsung!
Some other great places to look for appliances:
Home Depot,
Lowes,
Sears,
HH Gregg,
Best Buy

OK so FH and I are moving next week, we have just grown out of our apartment. So in our new place we had to buy a washer and dryer and fridge. So since we knew that we were going to have to buy these things we said that they would be our valentines day presents to us.
So this morning I woke up, and I am seriously excited to go appliance shopping... I mean seriously when did this happen??? Don't get me wrong I am super happy about it but I used to be a notorious party girl. I am happy with everything just falling into place... including appliances.
So I have decided to share my recommendation on appliances since I am feeling so domestic! Any other Domestic Goddess' out there??
**EDIT*** Just realized that I put this in the beehive... probably should have gone in home. Apologies :)
