I stumbled upon a great plus-sized swimwear website before my trip to mexico. I ordered about 6 suits and had a great experience. I also got a coverup that I totally love.
The site is Always For Me and they have some awesome stuff for all sizes and body types.
The best thing about the site was that each suit/coverup has a review section with lots of individual reviews. I found it very easy to figure out if a suit would work based on what other people liked/complained about.
Good luck!
Simply Be has some great options too.
Two additional cents - you're marrying, and going on your honeymoon, with someone who loves you. Don't get too wrapped up in being self-conscious - your FI is going to see how gorgeous you are, even if you can't see it yourself!
Miraclesuits are the most amazing invention EVER. Cyberswim has a great selection and Lane Bryant has some online as well. I have multiple styles and the Sonatina (I believe) was one of Oprah's favorite things. I can't wear the two piece suits because the fat kind of "spills" over, but the one piece suits really do work miracles. They are supportive and hold things in place. I always try other brands and just can't do it. I look better and feel better in the miraclesuits. They are expensive, but totally worth it! I also have a couple of skirts or short pareo wraps I use to camoflauge my thighs. But when I'm at the beach, it is what it is. I don't have a perfect body but whatever. I look better than a lot of people and I hold onto that. lol.
Have a great honeymoon and congrats on the weight loss!
I have pretty large legs Im a size 16, and am not in love with that part of my body either. So I got swim suit bottoms for this year that are like regular bottoms but around them is a skirt... Its not real long but has a lot more coverage than bikini bottoms, The whole thing is swim suit material so you wont have to take it on and off.. They are at Kohls, Walmart, Target, etc.
i am a size 14 and i recently purchased an Esther Williams retro style bathing suit that gives great coverage on the thighs... the retro style looks almost like a cute skirted bottom but ... younger looking? (no offense to those that rock the skirted suits! they just aren't my thing usually). and retro is in! i think i bought mine TTS, maybe one size up. they have built in support for the girls and some stretchy material inside that tucks that tummy! really flattering.
they sell them at modcloth but they're like 15 dollars (at least) cheaper at leisure for women!

AND they go up to a size 26.
good luck! and just remember... on your honeymoon, you're with the man that thinks you're ALWAYS beautiful. work it!

So since January I've gone from an 18-20 to a 14, I'd like to try to lose another 25lbs before my wedding but now I'm all of a sudden freaking out about our honeymoon. The bathing suit portion of it mostly. I hate hate hate my thighs, absolutely hate them and always want to cover them up. Can you ladies suggest types or brands of bathing suits that you've tried and love that kind of "hide" problem areas? I know I can do the usualy cover up when I'm sitting around the beach but really don't want to go into the water in them. Last summer I did the board shorts and tankini route and it was so uncomfortable, so this year I'm just out of ideas.
