@Papillion:  While you know it’s coming “soon” you don’t actually know the date, right? Just try to stop thinking about it! I actually was able to put together the pieces when my fiance was going to propose as well, and I actually knew the date (he wasn’t very subtle!) but honestly, I was still SO shocked when he got down on one knee that I acted like a complete fool. I couldn’t say anything and I think I blacked out for a moment because I really don’t remember much of what he said!!! I think once the moment happens, you’ll forget about all of this and the surprise/shock/excitement will inevitably set in.

@Papillion:  The feeling will pass. Put it out of your mind! Yes you think you know he has a ring. The ring my man is going to propose with has been sitting in a drawer for months!! I totally feel ya, mine was talking recently about two proposal ideas he’s torn about (no specifics, he just told me that he’s torn between two ideas but I don’t get to know the second one until the first happened) and he said he was nervous to ask my Mom and then it was all so.. imminent. But alas, boys can take their sweet time sometimes.

I’ve decided to let it go, to stop wondering what in the heck could be in his mind and just wait for him to show me. It’s hard, and I still think about it (I’m writing this aren’t I :-p) But even just letting it go a little at a time. Tell yourself that you really don’t know when or how but you do get to know that its coming! You get to keep the element of surprise but still have a little assurance this way!

Good luck lady 🙂 I’m sure he will knock your socks off!!

I kind of get you, maybe try to think of it, not that it’s ruined but he’s actually this overwhelmingly excited to be proposing to you that he’s accidently dropping hints.

Whenever I get to organise a surprise for someone I get like that as well, I want the person to be as excited as I am but obviously that sort of takes away the element of surprise lol (and I’ve never had to propose to anyone!).

Honestly I think it’s really cute that your guy can’t contain himself like this :3 I understand it might be a bit harder from your point of view. At least you don’t know the details! Hope you feel better soon and that your proposal comes soon as well!
