Just under 7 weeks until my wedding. The past few months I’ve been doing quite a bit of Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred and now half way through Ripped in 30. I’ve got stomach tone (lines on the side and above the stomach) and good arm muscle and feel pretty great.
Now I’m wondering what the best thing to do is – continue with the exercise DVD or scrap that and just go for runs? That way I would get more cardio but running doesn’t work as many muscle groups as the DVDs do.
At this stage it would be best if I lost a couple of kgs, don’t really care if I don’t get more ‘muscly’ as I’m looking pretty good right now. Just don’t want to take the ‘wrong path’ so suggestions would be appreciated :).

@amyinbrisbane: I’ve done the 30 day shred, and while i like it, I do find it getting monotonous for my taste. I’ve started mixing it up – every other day on 30ds, every other day some kind of outdoor cardio, be it biking or running. But everyone is different! 🙂

I would stick with DVDs — get some more if you want some variety. All of Jillian’s are good. Insanity is good, too — especially if you are looking for more cardio and less weights. Both are way tougher and a better use of your workout time than regular ol’ runs, in my opinion.

HIP HOP ABS
Go ahead and laugh…I can’t dance that great, I use to be able to dance really good. My boss’s aunt got this dvd and we have been doing it after work. It is fun, not that hard, improves your dancing skills (before the wedding) and tightens your abs.
