I used to work out in the morning and I would work out before I ate, for that exact reason.  I would usually get hungry in the middle of the workout, and I think it was less effective.  It works for some people, but I found the afternoon or evening to be better for me because I would have had a chance to east.  Ok, I guess this is not very helpful, sorry!

If I work out in the mornings I’ll eat something really small before I work out, just so I don’t get hungry, and then eat a real breakfast afterwards. Maybe like a piece of toast or fruit or something.

I have yogurt, a pear, and some water, then I work out. Usually I’m starving after, so I’ll have a couple boiled eggs or a bowl of cereal after my shower.

I do crunches, pushups, and squats in the morning before breakfast. It’s not high intensity and wakes me up. If you’re looking to lose weight, morning exercize can be effective because you’re going to burn more fat calories than calories from a meal.

When I work out in the mornings, I like to have a cup of coffee 30 minutes or so before the workout.  It’s just enough to stave off hunger, and I find that I’m much less lethargic with a little caffeine in me! Then I have a quick breakfast afterwards.

I go RIGHT when i wake up and dont eat until after. Sometimes I am hungry but usually if I’m drinking enough water it isn’t so bad. eating THEN working out = puking.

I work out in the am.  Tried eating before, didn’t work well for me.  I’m okay working out w/o food.

If you have to eat, you can do bananas or yogurt, both easily digestable.  I used to get the yogurt smoothies and drink one before I left the house..

Just a cup of coffee. I don’t eat breakfast even if I’m working out in the morning.  I only eat when I am hungry and I am rarely hungry in the AM. But if I were it would definitely be after, not before!

Yup, I’m another coffee-drinker before I work out. I’m usually good to go after a big cup of coffee, and then I don’t usually get hungry until a while after I’m done working out.

I eat after… I wake up go straight to the gym and then do not eat something until I get to work. I am so busy that I don’t realize I am hungry when I am working out or getting ready for work. But once at work I am ready to grub. Then I do egg whites and spinach with maybe some salsa. Or half a bagel or yogurt.. depends on my mood. But def a cup of Joe helps.

I can’t drink coffee before working out. I eat a chewey granola bar about 30-45 mins before I work out and drink some water. Then I have a real breakfast after I work out.

When i work out in the morning, I literally roll out of bed, put gym clothes on, and get on the ellitpical (which is downstairs). It wakes me up and I can not eat for the first hour I’m awake. If i go to a class at the gym at 6am (sometimes i take a 6am 1 hour spin class), i usually eat a spoonful of peanut butter =]. I don’t wnat much food in my stomach (even a piece of fruit is too much) because i exert myself and can get sick easily, so peanut butter is great!

Usually, I’ll just work out right when I wake up, so before breakfast.  However, if I’m marathon training and running for more than an hour, I’ll wake up an hour before going on my run and eat a bagel or an energy bar.  Luckily, those are usually just weekend runs!
