That’s cute! Would you be wearing the same shoes as with your wedding dress?

@Mrs_Harmer_to_be:  I think it is very nice. But honestly, I wouldn’t spend additional money on a dress I was only going to wear to leave in. I guess if you wore it later on or on your honeymoon it would be more practical. But that’s just my opinion 🙂

@Mrs_Harmer_to_be:  You could also maybe wear it to the rehearsal dinner! If you are ok with people seeing it ahead of time.

Is there room at the reception venue for you to change, and time for you to sneak off with a bridesmaid or two (hopefully sober!) to help you out of the ballgown and pack it up? I think it’s a great idea, but just make sure you allow yourself a bit of time in your reception timeline so you’re not rushed or you don’t miss people leaving!

@Mrs_Harmer_to_be:  To each their own, but I personally have a moral objection to “remaking” dresses. It is a lovely fun dress, and just tonight over dinner FI and I were talking about having our “grand exit”, changing, and heading back to the reception for the real party, so I have a new interest in finding something fun to change into, hence my interest.
