BBJ Linens lists prices - enough to get a general guideline - http://www.bbjlinen.com/ Their website is full of great photos but if you can visit one of their stores in person you will be amazed at all the choices! We didn't end up using their services, but they were super helpful and had loits of creative ideas at the Chicago store.
The company I am using charges $10 for floor length and $8 for overlays to rent. I have found that if you don't mind the linens not going all the way to the ground, the overlays work just as well and save $$.

If you already have long ivory linens I would look into just doing an overlay or maybe a shorter black linen for the top. You would see the ivory around the bottom but this could save you a lot of money. For full length linens I think we were looking at around $12 per piece.
We have to get ours through our venue and they are $15 for floor length colored linens.
I think for full length linens we are paying $12 for the tablecloth, and $6 for the overlay, and $.40 per napkin.
We are paying $22 for floor length. I had to go with the company because they were the only ones I could find in my area that had the tiffany blue satin linens. Should be really pretty though!! :)

My reception hall provides ivory linens, but i would rather have black and i'm trying to decide if it's in my budget or not. any rough idea? i'm going to have 120-150 people, so roughly 15-18 tables.
it would be nice if companies listed their prices online!
