I dont have cravings so much as aversion.

I used to eat lots and lots of veggies an salads and now I cant eat many veggies. I just want carbs.  Just ate some buckwheat pancakes for breakfast.

I ate fudgesicles for every meal for two weeks when I was pregnant with my son.

With my daughter, I ate salsa from a favorite Mexican restaurant like it was soup.

I’m not pregnant, but my mom liked to eat salsa straight out of the jar, sans chips or anything, when she was pregnant with me. Maybe that’s why I love spicy foods now?

Not pregnant but my mother said she drank tons of OJ when she was carrying me.  Now it is my favorite juice/beverage and I drink tons of it.  Always have and I’m sure I always will.  Odd huh?

I haven’t had any weird cravings. However, I did have 1 week where I could not stand bacon.

And that for me is just weird.

@Mewithoutyou:  THIS.

I was veggie before I got pregnant! Now all I want is steak and beef and Brazilian BBQ!

Also, I have passing cravings for eggrolls, ALL forms of Mexican food (the hotter the better!), and Oreos. And pizza! Ugh so much pizza.

On the bright side, I also work out 5 days a week, so I haven’t gained a million pounds yet!

A few days ago I ate a lemon.

I wasn’t really craving it I was just chopping one up to put in a cup of tea and all of a sudden I just had to eat it. I ate the whole thing….

@marzipanda: lol that’s awesome!

I have had trouble holding food down so not too many cravings. Buuuut usually I end up craving a sauce (like BBQ or honey mustard) so I end up having to get something to go with it.

First trimester: all I wanted was fresh fruit (pineapple specifically) and cheeseburgers. I was horrified by the taste of cilantro (which is probably my favorite herb!).

Second trimester: Ravenous appetite, EVERYTHING sounded good!

Third trimester: My strangest craving – sauerkraut. But I am loving fruit, sweets, and carbs. Any kind of meat is an aversion. Oh and I’m not eating spicy things bc my heartburn is so bad!

In the first trimester, when I was feeling particularly ill, I had a mild craving for fried chicken so we found a place that had it as part of their Sunday brunch. I ate so much, I made Thanksgiving meal blush! And it was awesome.

Lately, I haven’t had any cravings that are out of the control need it now, but I would love to try a mayonaisse and dill pickle on white bread toast sandwich. I’m not even sure where that combo came from, I’ve never even heard of a combination like that, but it sounds delicious to me.
