Im debating whether to go with airbrush makeup, I've been reading that it provides great coverage, won't rub off and is long lasting. I have acne blemishes on my back so I hope airbrush will work
Has anyone had experience with airbrush and how does it compare with regular makeup?
I loved it! It really did last all afternoon/night, and it felt so lightweight and non greasy. It's a little peculiar having it applied -- you have to close your eyes and hold your breath, and it feels cold -- but it's kind of neat. Also, a good makeup artist can really match your skin tone with the airbrush -- I felt like it was a far better match than regular foundation, and it hid imperfections really well and naturally.
I had it only on my face/neck, so I can't really say if it's good on the back. I think I had a teeny bit of rub-off on the inner neckline of my dress, but it was very slight.
I recently had airbrush makeup at my hair and makeup trial. I can show you pictures of how it turned out if you'd like. :) One of the things I asked my makeup and hair person was what deemed airbrushing more suitable than the traditional way of makeup in certain cases?
She recommended that if you had really, really dry skin, to NOT do airbrushing. If you have slightly dry to normal skin to combo to oily, it is perfectly fine.
It lasts a lot longer, keeps its finish longer, and doesn't budge! I wore my trial makeup for the rest of the day to test it out and it was pretty darn good. :)
I wore airbrush make-up at a friend's wedding last June and it was fabulous! It felt light, it looked great and it lasted all day, including pictures in the sun, through a long night of dancing. I wish that I could have it for my wedding, but they only have the mineral make-up. I'm happy with the mineral make-up but I'd prefer the airbrush.
i just had my makeup trial using airbrush and it looked amazing but unfortunately it rubbed off on EVERYTHING my face touched...i was really hoping to book the girl but now i'm worried b/c my FH is wearing all white and i'm going to be hugging a ton of people that day so i don't want my face to rub off on everyone and stain their clothes...do you all have any suggestions?
jcm9608 i plan on calling her to find out the deal...and then scheduling another trial with her...i LOVED her work and the price was very reasonable but i just don't feel comfortable with my face running off onto everything....maybe she just missed a step and i was so in love with how great i looked that i forgot to even ask about that....
Oh my goodness!! I just looked at the Final Seal description, and it sounds totally perfect for me (the sweat machine)! Have you used it before? It says to be careful with sensitive skin... how sensitive? :-)
My makeup person also airbrushed the Final Seal on afterwards, not just a simple application.
I had NO idea it was for sensitive skin, actually. I generally do have somewhat sensitive skin but I didn't sense any alcohol or any irritation at all. The mint was great. :)

That is so strange! I had no problems with it rubbing off at all. I had my airbrushing sealed with Ben Nye's Final Seal, though.
