I’ve never bought jewelry from Overstock, but the reviews on that band all look to be pretty good, and there are 23 of them! I would say that you shouldn’t expect the diamonds to be the best quality though (one person said they saw a very visible inclusion in one of the stones). Still, it looks to be a pretty good deal.

About the sizing, when were you sized? Fingers swell in the heat of summer, you may want to get sized again as the weather changes. But I think generally, it’s okay to get a slightly larger band than your e-ring, because for one, it’s “trapped” in there by the ring and won’t slide off. Don’t forget you can get quarter-sizes, too (i.e., 6.25), and that if you need to have the ring resized after you buy it, any local jeweler can do that for you, since it’s only half-eternity.

My Fiance bought me a promise ring about a year and a half ago from Overstock.  Overall it was good.  My only issue was it came in a red O square box with a magnetic flap to keep it closed, instead of a nice velvet box.  The rings always look bigger online than in real life though, but I’m assuming since you’ve see your ring at a jewelry store, you’ll know what it looks like.  Since it has so many good reviews, I think it’s a great choice!

I have ordered other things with overstock and have never had a problem….  I’d be concerned about a warranty with that ring.  Does overstock provide any warranty?  I have a ring like that from Jared’s and diamonds are always falling out.  I’m glad I have the warranty to cover replacing the diamonds.

One of my friends got both their bands from overstock and LOVE them. We will be getting FI’s ring there for sure!

I considered a couple of bands from Overstock, so we ordered them to check them out. They turned out to not be what we wanted, but they did look as advertised.

Overstock was great to work with though and I can’t recommend them enough in terms of customer service. They do offer jewelry warranties and the warranties are completely refundable. I used the web chat feature to talk to the customer service agents when I had questions and they were quite helpful. They sent me shipping labels for each ring and credited me when they received the rings back. They immediately cancelled and refunded the warranty price.

I do not like overstock.com.  If you buy something and don’t like it, you can return it minus a restocking fee.  I bought a ring and it wasn’t what I expected based on the pictures.  I had to pay for shipping and the restocking fee.  I was not pleased.

With any online retailer, read the fine print.  If its worth the gamble to you, then do it.

I buy EVERYTHING on Overstock.com and I love it. I got both my e-ring and wedding band, as well as my day of jewelry and BM jewelry on Overstock. If you had seen the exact same ring in the store, chances are you will like it. And the reviews are good. I woul go for it!

I suggest you sign up for O-mail. All you have to do is put in your email address and within a day or two you will receive a 10% off coupon that you can use towards the ring. I sign up everyone I know to get the coupons from them whenever I make a purchase.

Returns are also easy–I purchased a protection plan for my band that I decided to exchange for another, and I was refunded it immediately. Someone said the return shipping is expensive and there’s a restocking fee.. you do not have to use their return label. You can choose to send it back yourself however you want to. And I was never charged any restocking fee. All my dealing with them have been great–and the few times I had run into a problem they would credit my account $5 towards future purchases. Their customer service is fantastic!

It won’t cost $30 to ship! I sent one band back and it was $8 to ship. You can also ship it yourself without using their prepaid label. Don’t forget to sign up for O-mail so you can get a nice 10% coupon which will help cover the costs of return shipping if you send it back!

FI has order many pieces of jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelet) from overstock and every one of them has been better than expected.  I ordered an Invicta watch for him from overstock as well. We’ve never ordered rings, or had to return anything, but the pieces that we’ve gotten were very nice.

my and DH wedding bands are from overstock…I love it! I get compliments all the time for my band.  I would make sure you know what you are getting though…alot of those bands are G-H color and I-I2 clarity…
