I was visiting my venue last week, and their chivari chairs are all metal, very sturdy, with an attached upholstered seat, and quite comfortable to sit in. I've seen ones that are wooden / plastic, with paint chipping, and uncomfortable seats. It really depends.
MsHymanRoth, watching you pick out chairs is like watching someone pick out their wedding dress...i can't wait to see what you pick!!! ![]()
Here are the chairs we had at our wedding. Simple, wooden, painted silver with sheer sashes on them. They were easy to move in and out of the table, too because it was tight.
ok it won't attach, but you get the drift.
Lol. I knew you'd love this post I created. ![]()
Yours sound exactly like what I imagine the perfect chair to be. However, you have given me another thing to think about. I know theres gold ones ... but I don't know if I love them for my setting or not. I really really love the dark wood ones.

I am wondering if there different types of chiavari chairs. Such as, are there different materials, sizes ... higher quality, lower quality, etc.
Some I have sat in have been really wobbly and not very supportive at all ... almost cheap feeling.
So. How does a bride know how to go about finding the perfect chiavari chair to rent? So confused.
Thank you.
p.s. is there such thing as a sturdy chiavari chair?
