I know that quite a few threads were on here when Kate Middleton announced her pregnancy and I kept thinking about it. How sad it is that because I’m a ‘nobody’ I have a right that she doesn’t; the right to privacy.
I think it states it the most beautiful way how special pregnancy is and why we need to remember that some secrets are not ours to share.
Can we leave Kate Middleton alone please?

I’ve always felt this way. I really feel bad for celebrities in general, but especially during times like this. We’re so caught up stalking our fav celebs that we forget they’re human beings too and actually enjoy their privacy, probably moreso than some of us because we don’t know what it’s like having it practically stolen from us. I have heard many times “well, that’s the industry they chose” (moreso for actors rather than royalty), but I still think that’s unfair. They chose an entertainment industry, they didn’t choose to expose their personal lives.

I was just telling DH last night that I don’t believe that movie stars, singers and other celebrities deserved to be trailed 24/7 just because they are famous and make a lot of money. It’s not like we follow CEOs and other weathly people (well, not quite as much).
However, I think that reality shows stars that get paid to be filmed and televised in their personal lives are another story. They are openly asking for it.

@lilbluebird: I agree with you on the reality show stuff. They are asking for it and they are literally being paid to expose their day to day lives!
