So lately I’ve really started to want to get extensions… I recently had a major chop, and I’m having major adjustment issues. 🙂 So my questions are: How long do micro-links last? I know there’s a bee that had her FI put them in, is it that hard? What brand should I order if I decided to do them myself? And if I decide to get them professionally done, how much does it usually run? And do any bees have recommendations for reasonably pricedplaces to get them done In the Detroit area.
If you have pics, please share!!

I use natural hair clip ons, less damaging for hair and you can do anything with them: dye, trim, curl, straighten etc.
Recently found a fairly cheap ones, a set of real hair extensions for $120 at luxyhair. Im very happy so far. I will be using them for my big day 🙂

Hey! I’m from around the Detroit area and I’m wearing extensions for my wedding this Saturday. They are also the clip-in extension and they are from Luxy Hair as well! I did a lot of research and was kind of skeptical to order them online, but I was seriously surprised at how well they already matched my hair and the quality of them. I did have my hairstylist put some highlights in and cut them to match my hair perfectly for the day. The salon I go to also does the braid in and the bead extensions and always do a great job. My stylist also offered to go with me to a place she knows of to get extenions around the area. The salon I go to is called Iconic and it’s in Royal Oak right on main. It is kind of pricey but you really pay for what you get. I also have a friend that does amazing extenion work at a salon in Clawson called the New You salon, her name is Sam! Let me know if you need more info on this! good luck!

I agree with the ladies … extensions are great b/c they dont damage your hair ( thats worst) and you can put them in and take them out when you want …

I had micro link extensions. I loved them! They left absolutely no damage to my hair! I took them out because I had a baby and was worried about post baby hair fallout (which I ended up not having). My friend who is a hair stylist did mine for me. I only had to buy the hair and it still cost me almost $500. If I had to pay her the total cost would have been about $1100.
I ordered micro loop extensions from Ebay for my sister in law and put hers in. They are relatively easy to put in (look on Youtube), but they are not as nice as the ones I had done professionally.
I also use clip ins and love the versatility of them! I have ordered all of mine from Ebay. The lst set I bought was $29 for 22″ extensions.
